This picture book is delightful. It is recommended as a discussion guide to be used by parents, teachers, and therapists to explain to young children why their emotions and moods change rapidly. Children are often scared and frightened by sudden shifts of emotions, whether caused by external circumstances or the people around them.
By displaying a picture of an animal with a specific feeling, children can empathize and understand the concepts. When a child understands that emotions are part of life and growing up, they appreciate the fact that most of the time they feel fine.
Recommended for preschoolers and elementary school-age children as a read-aloud book.

I call this the book of self. Not in a negative sense but in a learning and knowing sense. We are multifaceted as a people. When you learn to embrace your different me’s, I believe you’ll move forward in a sense of calm knowing that it’s okay to experience different emotions. This is a simple approach to introduce and navigate children to an awareness of their emotions and talk to them about how they are feeling.
As a personal coach and teacher, I spend a lot of time helping adults and children stay in the present moment. The present moment requires them to accept their current passing emotions. Once they truly accept the passing feelings, they can easily connect to their true essence. Once they are rooted in their true essence, they spend less time and energy lingering in uncomfortable emotions. They no longer identify with passing emotions and mistake those emotions for who they truly are. It takes time for adults to understand why it is so important to realize their true essence, but not kids! They catch on fast, and have the potential to avoid a life filled with drama that is the byproduct of ego driven emotional identification if taught early on.
I already read it to a child, and she got what I was talking about! Know she announces that her “angry me” has arrived, and knows that this too, shall pass.
Targeted Age Group:: 2 to 12 and adults
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The real of feelings is mysterious and we are usually taught from a young age from adults coming from a place of fear or control how to be with our feelings. There is a more joyful respectful way to be with our passing emotions by anchoring in our happy place of just being. Lion I Am and his animal friends like to share this message.
