They think she’s mad.
After returning from Wonderland again, Alice Liddell has been sent to the Facility—an asylum specially designed for others like her. Such fantasies are no longer suitable for a girl of seventeen, or so they tell her. Everyone around her demands she be sensible. Her story has been twisted for the entertainment of children. But Alice knows the truth. She won’t be moved to sensibility.
And she’s not the only one.
Along with her new friends, Alice is thrust into a journey to save the Mad Hatter from the Queen of Hearts. But things are never so easy. Alice quickly discovers her fate is tied closer to her fellow Facility escapees than any of them could’ve imagined.
Stories weave together in unexpected ways as Alice and her friends find themselves deep in something that effects far more than just Wonderland.
This is just the beginning.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I've always been enthralled with classic fairy tales and the way they change or are interpreted differently over time. More than anything, though, I've wondered what would happen if the children in tales such as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Peter Pan didn't leave the magical worlds they discovered. This led me to gather stories where children entered or encountered magical worlds — Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and The Snow Queen — and spun these classics into a new adventure where these specific characters found friendship, family, and home in these other worlds. The mystery came in exploring what was the force that drew them there in the first place.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Most characters throughout the series find roots in classic fairy tales. For the main characters, my goal was to find fairy tales where children journeyed from one world to another. In these books, they are older and thus I had to explore what these characters would be like grown.
