After surviving the cruel rage of tyranny from her mother and ex-husband, Sarah Jackson traveled a new path; a journey of loss, heartbreak, and ultimately strength. How do we survive the unthinkable, our child suffering from a terminal illness? They say there is no greater loss than that of a child; I say losing a child is the king of loss. Sometimes the thing that helps us survive it, is knowing we are not alone. Bestselling author, Sarah Jackson, will take you on her journey of hope and strength as she provides an intimate raw look at her life.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
When Angels Fly is a powerful, emotionally gripping memoir of a brave and resilient young mother facing the loss of her son to cancer. That heartbreak in and of itself is more than anyone should ever have to bear, but through Sarah's journal entries, the reader discovers there has been so much other tragedy already – and happening concurrently – in her life. Parents need to learn how to help their children in the hospital setting and at home when they have a serious long term illness. My son inspired this book to be written, and to help others deal with child loss. Women, and men, need to know the resources available so they can get out of abusive relationships.
Eli took one piece of a Sixlet’s candy and planted it in the sandbox. Eli said he was “going to grow a bunch of candy.” I guess that made sense to a five-year-old. Eli always watched me work in our vegetable garden at home, so evidently he thought he could grow candy. I wasn’t about to tell him otherwise.
