Tragically widowed at the tender age of thirty five, Olivia Leonard found herself faced with the daunting prospect of running a thoroughbred horse farm alone, while at the same time bringing up her fourteen year old daughter. Before the death of her husband she had been a successful writer, but necessity forced her to turn her back on that career.

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I think every writer is different from others because everyone’s life experiences are different. This gives them their own unique perspective from which to draw their writing.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Take advantage of Amazon’s self publishing ‘gift’ to authors and when your books are published, take notice of any criticism they may receive and use it productively. Remember, just because your book is published, its content isn’t set in stone. Make any necessary improvements and re-upload. Hoiw many print-authors have that ability?
I was born and educated in the UK and moved to the USA with my family in 1993. I have always made a living writing, both as a ghost writer and in my own name, and have previously ghost written four successful Kindle novellas and several non-fiction books, I decided a series of novellas in my own name was way overdue. Hence ‘We Can Laugh Together Too’, book one in a planned Walnut Grove Trilogy.
Book two: ‘The Last Laugh’, is in the works, and book three will be hot on its heels.
Aside from writing, my other interests include my family, cats, Dalmatian dogs, thoroughbred horses and traveling. My favorite vacation destination is the Big Island of Hawaii.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I’ve always been an avid reader and writer; give me a good book over watching television any day!
Until recently, all my writer has been mostly for others, mainly writing content for other people’s web sites, although I have previously published a few non-fiction books on Amazon about various aspects of budget travel. These were all published under a pseudonym.
In addition to writing I’ve always been mad about horses, especially thoroughbreds, and dalmatian dogs, hence when I decided to try my hand at my first novella, both horses and dalmatians are part of the plot..
I was actually inspired to move beyond content writing by the ease with which Amazon allows aspiring authors to self publish. A number of my friends are achieving success with Amazon so I viewed it as a natural progression.
