My friend had told me about his trip to South Sudan and I found the experience fascinating.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I wanted to bring a sense of humor to a book that portrays the dark sides of the civil war that is currently taking place in South Sudan.

It all started on 13th of December, just after we had arrived in Juba, the capital of South Sudan. It was a beautiful sunny day. The skies were clear and blue; the ground was a rusty red color with trees scattered here and there but mostly accumulated by the Nile River.
