Join Claire and Clint Virgin again as they embark on another riotous holiday adventure – this time a cruise around the Mediterranean.
Aided and abetted by Roy and Edie, the couple are soon involved in drug smuggling, mayhem and murder as Claire attempts once again to solve the mystery, save the day, and stay as far away from Amber Winnard as possible.
With a backdrop of ancient cities and historical sites, the tension mounts as the four of them stumble from one catastrophe to another, bringing the laugh out loud moments as disaster strikes yet again.
But – Can Clint’s new hairstyle make him any cooler than he is?
Can Claire stop fantasising about Brad Pitt long enough to catch the criminal?
And will anyone, anywhere, feel inclined to adopt a stray kitten after this?
These and many more questions are answered in this humorous tale of four friends who, when the going gets tough, like to put their feet up with a nice cup of tea.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Everyone loves to tell about their holidays!
My books are about holidays and the peculiar sort of people we all seem to meet on them. They are light-hearted, not to be taken too seriously.- I just sit and think about the worst that could happen and then go for it!
I hope my books make someone out there smile – don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good dark mystery as much as the next person but sometimes don't we all just want to snuggle down and read something to make us feel good? So I hope my books do that, and (minus the drug smuggling and murder, obviously!) remind readers of some nice holiday adventures of their own.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
None of my characters are based on anyone I know personally. (Ha ha! And I'd never admit it if they were!) My characters are a mixture of many, many, people and since I spend most of my time poking fun at them its just as well, really….
AN HOUR LATER Clint was still fuming. I couldn’t really understand what he was so agitated about – After all, Patrick had agreed to help us, we’d got rid of those dodgy stamps and we had a nice meal at the Captain’s table to look forward to. It seemed to me that things couldn’t have worked out any better! But as soon as I started to congratulate myself on the way I’d handled a difficult situation, Clint got very red in the face and snarled something about ‘one bloody disaster after another’.
“Cheer up!” I said. “Thing’s could’ve been a lot worse, Clint! And just think about the stories we’ll have to tell Patti and Robert when we get home! This beats that ice hotel thingy by miles! “
“Beats the ice hotel? The THINGY?” Clint roared. “What d’you mean, could’ve been worse? Worse how? You’ve bloody scalped me, brought DRUGS on board the ship, got some skinny bloke following you, some LSD-peddling woman using you as a drug-mule and as if that wasn’t enough you’ve bribed the bloody steward now – with my money! And God knows what he’ll say about us if he does get questioned by the policia! D’you think he won’t turn us in, Claire? Eh?” He clenched his fingers and shook. There wasn’t a lot of room in the cabin or he’d probably have been hip-hopping as well. I sighed.
This is the problem, you see. Clint – unlike myself – just doesn’t notice a silver lining – he’s definitely a half-empty glass type of person, always looking at the worst that could happen instead of being thankful for what he has. (And by that, obviously, I mean me.) I try to make allowances for him, but I sometimes think he enjoys being miserable…
“I think you enjoy being miserable!” I said.
“I enjoy being MISERABLE?”
And yep, there it was. Clint’s hip-hop routine soared to new heights. If he’d been auditioning for One Direction he’d have aced it, no problem, but as it was he only knocked over the travel alarm and caught his foot in the edge of the duvet.
