Society has collapsed: destroyed by an unknown weapon of terrible power. The survivors turn on each other in desperation.
Twenty years later a new society has formed from the ruins. Utopia is the envy of the outside world: powerful, highly advanced and led by the mysterious Circle of Eight. Fuelled by the limitless power of the ‘Genie Reactor’ its people want for nothing.
Freedom and Equality exists in Utopia.
Ellie, a survivor of the disaster has carved out a new life in Utopia. She is wealthy and successful, but lonely and haunted by dreams of the past.
A brutal murder will plunge her, and others, into a world of horrifying revelations, death and madness, as she explores the dark side of Utopia: where a terrifying secret awaits and nothing is as it seems…
The Story So Far
After surviving the horror of The Reckoning, Ellie finds herself working in ISIAH’s leading hospital ‘Plastic Paradise’ in Coney City. Success in her work results in a surprise invitation by the Circle of Eight to view the Project F2 Genie Facility: a rare privilege given only to a select few citizens. During the visit she encounters Executive Jon-Li, a financial expert from Fin-Sen who works closely with the Circle of Eight. Together they bear witness to a terrifying assassination attempt by forces unknown on a member of the Circle of Eight. The horrifying ordeal throws them together into a whirlwind romance that sees Ellie propelled into the circle of high society in Utopia. Ellie and Jon-Li are awarded an invitation to the Masquerade Ball to celebrate the completion of Phoenix Palace: an opulent monument to the success of the Circle of Eight.
Lost in the splendour and power of Utopia, Ellie is blissfully unaware that her life is about to be shattered and will change forever…
