What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
After getting to know M'Kenzee in her siblings' love stories (Books 1 and 2 in the series), I knew her journey needed to be a deeply emotional quest that both challenged and completed the strong, yet conflicted, young woman. Once I knew who her true love needed to be in Book 2, the story and unique format just happened. It's my most engaging character and most thought-provoking book to date.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
M'Kenzee was introduced as a secondary character in Book 1: Grocery Girl, and Bren was introduced in Book 2: In the Trenches. They have a complicated history, and while we see glimpses and subtle foreshadowing, we don't really get the gist of their relationship until the first chapter in Book 3: Three Times to Make Sure. Playing with the theme of threes for Book 3, and using the journals as a voice for a missing hero, this romance is full of heart-tugging emotion and a great chance to get to know the Davenport family even better!
