The Watchers, Knight of Light by Deirdra Eden

By Book Goodies

Copy-of-knightoflight-animationThe Watchers Series has been described as Braveheart meets Supernatural.

The mythology for the series is based on many theological texts from dozens of sects with correlating themes. Ancient writings include the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Traditional Apocrypha, the Pearl of Great Price and the Kabbalah.

“The Watchers” are supernatural beings in human form whose duty it is to protect and guard mankind from the armies of darkness.
Unfortunately, as the Book of Enoch mentions, some of these Watchers go bad.

Deirdra Eden’s The Watcher’s Series is written in a traditional fairytale style with a young girl’s discovery of incredible, but dangerous powers within herself, a cast of humorous side-kicks, a quest for greater self-discovery and purpose, and villains of epic proportions.

Knight of Light Book #1 (Release date September 1, 2014)

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Many times I’ve been thinking about a life question and I find the answer in my book. It’s helped me realize that as humans we each have our own story with villains, trials, mentors, quests and character arcs. We may need to edit out people or things that don’t lift us or build our character. We sometimes wish we can skip to the end to see if our story turns out happy. We may not always choose what happens to us, but we can choose whether to let our trials make us weaker or stronger, because that’s how our characters become stronger, by doing hard things in hard times.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Most are based off real people, historical and modern.

“The correct question is ‘Why not me?’ Whether you are human, Neviahan, or the Lady of Neviah herself, you have the power to change this world. The world is at war with enemies they cannot see, monsters that blend with the shadows and disguise themselves as humans. The only way we can win this war is for everyone to do their part toward a single goal—peace. The victory over Erebus and the Shadow Legion is not about one man or woman doing a million great tasks, but about millions of people doing what they can.”
