“The hilarious journey of eccentric scientist Kimchi McQuade across the cosmos in pursuit of an elusive organization hell-bent on destroying humanity as we know it.”
The year is 2102. In his unassuming Tokyo office, Dr Daitsuke Endo anxiously writes the final entry in his diary. A little orange diary containing unpublished blueprints of his pioneering longevity protocols…and incriminating evidence on the Skolkovo syndicate, the very organization that made his breakthroughs possible. He knows they won’t let him get away with it, but he’s got a plan.
Meanwhile halfway across Earth, Kimchi McQuade hastily pulls his pants up as his pet robot barges into his room unannounced, kicking off a shouting match that neither of them could expect to win. More urgent matters await as Kimchi sets off to deliver the keynote speech at a local scientific consortium, unknowingly embarking upon a multi-planetary quest inextricably linked to Endo’s secret diary.
A perilous quest that will ultimately force him to choose between fulfilling his lifelong scientific dream or exposing a conspiracy that could seal the fate of humanity forever.
“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy meets Dr No. Fans of sci-fi plots of cosmic proportions, filled with humorous characters, evil geniuses and deadly games of bluff and double bluff, will be enthralled by this explosive debut novel.”

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is my favorite book as it combines elements of Science Fiction and sheer grotesque. I wanted to emulate what made the book a success while adding some more classic science fiction tropes found in other sci-fi works (and my other favorites, Dune and Hyperion)
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The main character is goofy and at times really silly, but incredibly smart. I wanted to create a multi-faceted hero with his lot of childhood traumas and behavioral weakness, to leave room for growth and surprises!
Kimchi McQuade was shockingly out of breath when his homebot burst into his bedroom unannounced. Strands of damp, ginger hair were pinned to his sweaty forehead and the only reason why his chest hair did not suffer a similar moist fate was that he had none. He groaned at the pet droid, pulled his pants up and leaned to the side in order to peer at the door obstructed by the cumbersome machine. A tattered sock hung from the doorknob, exactly where it was supposed to be.
“Goddamned bolthead blowing a gasket again…” he mumbled and snatched the wrinkled shirt dangling from the corner of his night table. It wasn’t the first time the automat had interrupted a well-deserved monkey lovin’ session with his rather-rigid sweetheart. The meshwork of pistons, rotors and loose wires standing sheepishly before him seemed to take great delight in overriding every household rule he’d programmed into his eight-inch floppy disk.
And then there was the clanker’s attitude. Kimchi had abandoned the idea of instilling good manners into the bot’s pea-sized memory chip long ago, and yet, it pissed him off all the same every time it was exhibiting uncivil behavior. The manufacturer’s claims that their droids learned from their masters’ conduct and deportment was sheer marketing horseshit, he was sure of it.
