This story about a brave, young rabbit and a family of noisy elephants will teach children how being messy, loud and disrespectful to your neighbors may lead to problems and cost you friends – and how tidying up after yourself, caring for others and keeping your planet nice and clean might help you find new ones.
Targeted Age Group:: 4-8 years old
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Some young children lack confidence in themselves and their abilities. So I wanted to cheer them up and say that they can do a lot of useful things, even if they are so small.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Rabbits are timid and cowardly animals. Children with this character are hard to adapt to the team, they need to become bolder. Elephants are smart animals, but as humans they are different: some are cleaner, friendlier, others are less. We all have to be able to change and be better in order to do a lot of good for the planet and for people in this life.
As courageous rabbits are rarely born a trick, instead, could be very helpful.
One young rabbit exclaimed: “I have a plan!”
Late at night, the young rabbit hid behind a thick bush.
The bright, round moon, as usual, appeared above the pond.
It illuminated a huge pile of trash casting a shadow on the pond that created a monstrous appearance.
The elephants had gone into the water and were dipping their trunks and chatting loudly. The young rabbit began to howl.
“Hey elephants, I am the Giant Pond Monster!
You’re making my water dirty,
and polluting my shores!”
