What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Having been a shy young adult, who was insecure about himself, I decided to join a gym in 2012. Fast forward to 2020 and I've competed in two bodybuilding competitions and transformed my life, in and out of the gym. I wrote this book to provide the reader with the tools they need to not only follow in my footsteps, but rapidly progress at a much quicker pace than I did. I made a plethora of mistakes along the way and I've written this book with all of these errors included, so that the reader can accelerate their learning. Finally, I was so confused with the gym jargon and nutrition when I was learning, that I felt it necessary to break down these barriers and provide as much information possible, in a simple and effective way.
Welcome to The Body Transformation Blueprint: How To Become a Better You in 12 Weeks. I’m going to let you know right away this isn’t going to be a cookie-cutter guide that you can find on almost any fitness Instagram page. This is more than a transformation book; it’s my story and journey from a shy, withdrawn young adult who lacked confidence, into a man who has embraced his differences, grown in stature and most importantly, found true happiness. Therefore, my biggest hope is that this book can show you how to change your life from a negative outlook into one that’s far brighter and positive, which I promise you is possible and not only that, achievable.
Now it may well be that you’re not in as bad of a place as I was when I began my fitness journey, and instead you’re simply looking for that beginners guide on how to get started in the gym, including what foods to eat, how many times a week to train, how to train and so on. In a nutshell, “get fit.” This book will answer all of that and more. Using my own journey as your vehicle of discovery, you’ll be able to avoid the pitfalls and mistakes I made early on (and even with years of doing this under my belt, mistakes are still made) thus accelerating your development and giving you substantial change in a relatively small time frame.
On average, it takes 66 days for a new habit to form. That’s just over 2 months, clocking in at around 9 weeks. You’ll note this book proclaims physical and mental change in 12 weeks which I wholeheartedly stand by. You’ll learn why this is the case as my story unfolds. Again, referring back to my mistakes, it was these errors that inhibited my progress. Whether it was eating incorrectly, performing the wrong exercises, or lacking consistency, you’ll find that by simply avoiding these glaring blunders you’ll progress far quicker than I ever did.
