For a time The Architect, an inventor and renaissance man, unites the world in peace under one global government. It was not to be. For his own vanity he built a temple. A great pantheon to all the world’s religions. Outraged by this heresy the empire crumbled as religious fervor and patriotism gave rise to a coalition against The Architect’s iron rule. From humble beginnings a hero rises, but will he preserve the empire or destroy it once and for all. Through multiple battles, espionage, treachery, and murder, the war takes many turns.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
When I was in college I was working in a store where I had a lot of downtime. I remembered my friend in high school who taught me about the bible and the Book of Revelation and I decided to write a scenario of how the apocalypse might unfold.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters are all representative of the types of people I have known good and bad. No one character is exactly based on a particular person but their thought processes are based on my perception of people I have met.
Condon gestured to an officer standing behind him. “This is Brekke,” he said to Raptor. “He will help you arrange your people for transport. We move in four hours.”
“Colonel Brekke actually,” Colonel Brekke corrected.
“Not for long if you take that tone again,” Condon snapped.
Colonel Brekke stomped off followed by his staff officers.
August and I looked at each other, he seeming as confused as I was. “How did you know he was going with us?” August asked. “I didn’t tell you.”
“You might think me a thug or a monster, as the colonel here calls me, but I am also a student of human nature. I knew you would not leave these people here to starve and die. I also know that you feel guilty, because you think you brought this on these people by traveling through here, when in reality the rebels could have attacked us anywhere on this mountain road.” Condon paused and looked at August as if waiting for a response.
August was red in the face, but I supposed not from rage; rather embarrassment.
“You will find, General August, that I will soon be able to tell what you are going to do before you think to do it,” Condon said.
