In That Was Ugly, readers are invited into a wrestling match that pits the messy moments we all encounter in our ordinary, sin- and struggle-filled days, against the reality of God’s redeeming love. You’ll see where victory lies in these tales of redemption, as you discover how even our most unsightly blunders can be turned into beautiful opportunities to personally experience God’s grace. Using real-life stories from her own journey, the author demonstrates, one chapter at a time, how a loving God meets us in our messes and invites us to grow. Both humorous and heartfelt, That Was Ugly, is a treasure trove of practical, spiritual and relational lessons worth pondering and putting into practice.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wanted to write a book that is real and transparent and talks about navigating life. My hope is that my stories will encourage women to keep pressing on. Nobody's perfect, but we can grow and learn from our less-than-perfect, messy moments.
