Sherry and Rick’s marriage is not what it used to be. The spark, the romance, and the closeness of their relationship was gone. Sherry decided that some time away could help and she told Rick they were going away with friends for the weekend to a ‘swap meet’. What she didn’t tell him was the ‘swap meet’ was at a swingers resort.
Sherry’s friend, Liz, and her husband had the same problem and going to the resort helped them. Liz, suggested they join her and her husband at the resort. Sherry agreed but knew Rick would never go to the resort for no reason so she told him they were going to a ‘swap meet’. It wasn’t an outright lie, but it did get him to the resort.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
A couple I know were going through a rough spot in their marriage and resolved it by going away to a resort of this type. This is a fictionalized version of their experience.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters are based on aquaintances of mine, so in way they are real people. Their thoughts and feelings are what they related to me from what transpired at the resort.
A good-looking young man in a business suit walked into the bar and past the two women, eyeing them lasciviously as he strode by. He ordered a drink at the bar, then turned to face their direction and continued to watch them. Liz smiled at him, but Sherry averted her eyes and looked down at her drink.
“He's cute,” Liz critiqued, “but too young for us. I'd hurt him and ruin him for life if he climbed into bed with me.”
Sherry blushed even though she was used to Liz's aggressive sexual banter, they'd been friends for years. “What would Ralph say about you doing that guy?” she inquired.
“He wouldn't say anything. He says and does what I tell him to do. You'd be wise to take that attitude with Rick.”
Sherry sipped her drink, not wanting to continue the line of conversation. The man picked up his drink and walked over to Sherry and Liz's table.
“Hi, I'm Chad,” he introduced himself.
“Hello, I'm Liz,” she answered, recrossing her legs, the skirt shifting and revealing a little more of her enticing thigh. He shifted his eyes down to view the newly exposed skin. “This is my friend, Sherry.”
“Hi, Sherry,” he said turning to her.”That is a wonderful perfume you're wearing.”
“Thanks,” she replied shyly. “It's just shampoo.”
“Well it smells terrific. Can I get you a refill of your drink”
“No thanks. We're not staying much longer.”
“Okay, but if you change your mind, just wave your arms in the air. I'll come over and get you another drink. Love your shampoo,” he said as he turned and went back to his place at the bar.
“You know, he was coming on to you,” Liz explained.
“I know,” Sherry admitted, “and that's what I miss about my marriage.”
“What, guys coming on to you?”
“No,” she lamented. “Rick coming on to me. We haven't flirted with each other in a really long time. It's like we take each other for granted. There's no spark when we're together.”
