These days, most of us have become quite complacent since we have the ability to predict tornadoes, dangerous hurricanes, snowstorms, and even flash floods. We are aware of frequent tectonic plate activities and also know which areas are most prone to earthquakes. The same also goes for wildfires and heatwaves. We can now even find out many hours in advance if and when a massive tsunami might strike our shores, but that does not mean we will be prepared for the fallout.
However, you do not need a massive and large-scaled disaster to get lost in the woods. It can be a simple camping trip gone wrong. In case panic sets in, you are doomed to disaster. But not if you are adequately prepared. In which case, this won’t happen at all.
Bad Things Are Happening All Around Us
All the things that we had so far seen only in movies seem to have become living and breathing reality right in front of us. Unfortunately, most of us have become so used to living in our self-created cocoons that we are not prepared for a massive disaster of global magnitude. This is largely thanks to our it can’t happen to us attitude.
Merely sitting and waiting it out won’t work in case of a really massive disaster. Apart from that, the minute you wonder out into the woods you will end up losing your bearings and drop off the grid. In this case you will have to take certain steps to ensure your survival as well as that of your loved ones.
