How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
This book doesn’t fit into anyone genre. It is historical in that many of the characters existed, but the story is pure fantasy. It’s more of a dark fantasy though. There’s gore and horror, but there’s a larger element of fantasy and adventure. It’s been fun to write a horror book that is unlike any horror I’ve seen.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Stacy and Jennifer Buck are husband and wife writing partners from Seattle. We’ve written a total of four episodes of Squanto Undead and have a new Icarus project in the works. We’ve also been involved in writing comics and short fiction.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
There’s not enough Native American heroes in fiction. I’m aiming to change that. The Native people of this great country are a proud people and they need more representation in our pop culture.
