What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This is the third book in the series (The Chronicles of Detective Marcus Rose). Moving into a story about a serial killer was a natural progression in the series and story a story that needed to be told.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters are based partly of people that I know. No one character is based on a particular individual, but may have characteristics of several people with interesting qualities or quirks.
This young guy looked like Jesse Owens as he turned the corner. All she saw was ass and elbows as he sprinted down the alley. There was no way that she was going to catch him so she stopped and picked up the backpack. She was out of breath and ready to puke. There's a certain point in every cop's life when he or she realizes that chasing the bad guy down on foot was no longer an option. This was her day of recognition. Father time waits for no one and never loses a battle.
