What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
A true event inspired me to write this short book, which some would call a short story. Though the event happened years ago, it's stayed with me until I was moved to write it one day. The work is a fictionalized account, so not all that you read actually happened, just the starting point where a woman is lied to on a dating website. The rest is pure fiction. I just wanted to explore what would happen to this Christian woman and non-Christian man who meet on a dating site under false pretenses. The result is pretty dramatic and rocky but has a good message about how God can use people to save each other.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The character of Savannah is partly me, in that I did meet a man on a Christian dating site who lied on his profile about being a Christian because he wanted to meet "a good woman". The rest is pure fiction of what could have happened after that. The character of Michael is a complete fabrication and not based on the real man I met online.
