What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My lifelong love of reading has had me longing to write a book for many years. For me, romance is my favorite genre and within it, erotic romances. I love to curl up and read a steamy, naughty book. So, when I finally had the chance to pursue my dream of writing, there was only one I wanted to write. At least for now!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
So many ways and places. Sometimes it's a person I see, or a picture. Other times, it comes to mind as I'm reading or watching something. Songs give me a lot of visions on either scenes for a book or even a character. Too many ways to list
“Baby, you’ve been mine since the moment I saw you all those months ago. I waited and now that I have you with me, I ‘m not walking away. Don’t you know you own me, woman? My heart, my soul, my body, and my mind are all yours. The thought of you leaving me makes my chest hurt. He’s our problem. Now tell me what happened that made you decide not to see him anymore, what kind of injuries did he give you the night he attacked you, and why did you wait two weeks to run after the attack?”
She nuzzled her face into my chest. “One of the reasons I told him we couldn’t keep seeing each other is, I felt not one spark with him. Even though he’d kissed me, there was nothing. I went out with him because he seemed nice and I thought maybe a spark would show up after we went out. But the biggest reason was, he had this mean streak towards other people when we did go on dates. It set off warning bells. The night of the attack, we argued about me not seeing him. He was trying to get me to take him back. When I said it wasn’t happening, he flew into a rage.”
“He slapped me. I fought to get away from him. He hit me in the face, and I hit him back. I tried everything I could to get away from him and couldn’t. He ended up choking me until he heard one of my coworkers coming out to the parking lot. I think he would’ve killed me if he hadn’t been scared off. Even with the bruising on my face and neck and my cut lip, the police let him go and the judge declined my request for a restraining order. When he ransacked my apartment, his note left me in no doubt he was toying with me and I was at his mercy. I got scared that he would catch me when I wasn’t expecting him again. So, I left the next morning and ended up here. When I left, I had no idea where I was going to go. Then I remembered my friend, Amy, bringing me to Knoxville to stay with her family for a couple of summers. I looked into a school near here and the name Dublin Falls just caught my attention.”
I started to rain kisses all over her face, kissing up the tears she had cried while telling me more about what happened. “Princess, I’m so sorry you had to go through that. You were right to get out of there. He would’ve ended up probably killing you. I wish you’d told me sooner. I want you to relax and let us make sure you're protected.
