What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I'm a huge fan of Stephen King, and I started reading his short stories when I was starting to learn English and I just wanted to try my hand at writing my own short horror stories. I have always been passionate about the horror genre and I want to share my imagination with the rest of the world.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I generally think of a concept of what kind of story I want to write, and I just start writing and see what kind of characters and creatures occur to me. After I've got the base idea of the story wrote down, I keep building on it, coming up with the desired traits and personality of the characters. Sometimes it takes a lot of planning, other times, the perfect character just pops right up into my mind.
That might have been the most peaceful sleep Michael would enjoy for quite a while.
Over the next few weeks, Michael’s productivity increased tenfold. However, the nights were becoming growingly restless with each passing sunset. He was having vivid nightmares that had him waking up drenched in sweat and gasping for air. He started going to bed very late at night, falling asleep in front of his desk most of the time. The exhaustion was blurring out most of the images he could retain from his ordeals. Yet, on that particular night, after dozing off while writing, once again, he woke up, letting out a terrifying scream. He witnessed the deformed image of a pale doll, covered in blood. The doll’s unnaturally contorted face and dark hollow eyes haunted him every time he closed his eyes.
After a long while of waiting in complete silence, Michael crashed on the couch and turned on the television. Nothing interesting was on, except for some telemarketing advertisements and late-night reality shows, but he did not care much about it. All he wanted right now was some background noise to soothe his racing mind. After deciding there was no use in trying to go to sleep again, he decided to grab another book to read, without turning off the television.
