What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I grew up reading fantasy novels and playing Dungeons & Dragons. I loved the worlds of C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, as well as Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman. When my son Devin was born, I wanted to create a story, and a world, that my child, and all children could grow up loving.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I named the main character after my son, Devin. I named other characters of the book after relevant figures in my life. Many were simply spelled backwards to create a whimsical, fantasy realm name.
