“Praying for a Miracle when it’s Hopeless” is about my physical, mental, and emotional struggle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer while going through a gut-wrenching divorce, and a fight for custody of my son. In 2004 and 2005, I had many battles with breast cancer resulting in two mastectomies and two reconstruction surgeries. In 2007, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer with metastasis to my brain. Shortly after my surgery, I was sent away in a wheelchair and a diaper by my husband back to my family in CA; leaving me penniless and hopeless. In 2008, after being sent to CA, I was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus by Stanford Medical Center. A shunt was surgically inserted into my brain to drain the water to my bladder.
I have no answers as to why my husband tried abandoning me, divorcing me, and leaving me for dead fighting for my life, and for visitation and custody of my son. I may have lost a few battles along the way. But, thanks to God, I won the war!! Included in my book are tips that helped me to recover. I am currently enjoying seeing my son experiencing college life; a site I never thought I’d survive to see. Praise the power of God!!

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wrote this book because I was encouraged by my friends and family. They told me, I went through a harrowing journey. I didn't know how or why I survived. I just knew I was still here because I had a purpose. After much thought. I realized God wanted me to share my uplifting and inspirational story with those touched by breast cancer. I now know that a breast cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. Not everyone will survive. My message is to one of Hope.

Some people choose to allow the storms of life to rage on without and effort being made to calm the sea. And, I get it. You'll see throughout this book moments where the average person would have given up and thrown
in the towel. You'll probably have some jaw-dropping moments where you'll experience the same raw emotions I felt as I lived multiple nightmares back to back. But, amid all the hell I have lived through and survived, I found
slivers of hope that compelled me to fight. That pushed me into my war mode that ultimately brought about healing and restoration. While it's very true that I lost plenty of battles along the way, it is with a great sense of accomplishment that I write this book having won the war.
Tough days are inevitable. Trials are sure to come. But, it's how you handle the tough days and the trials that set you apart from the rest. Am I suggesting you glide through them without a tear-stained face? Absolutely not. That is not realistic. I am suggesting you keep your positive
outlook to know without a shadow of a doubt that the outcome will
be in your favor.
My story that you are about to read is one of strength and survival. As you flip through the pages of my life, and travel on the very tumultuous journey that left me broken, in despair, and minus hope, you'll take notes and discover how I regained my wholeness, how I regained my sense of purpose, and how I found the audacity to hope again. Dream again. Live again. Yes, there are wars. But not all of them end in defeat. Some of them end in victory. And, my war…well, it ended in bittersweet victory.
Here's my story…
