Wed without my knowledge to a perfect stranger.
Forced to hide out together in the wilderness.
Are you kidding me, sis?
You’ve married me off to the world’s gruffest man for my protection?
Until today, I had no idea that I even needed protection.
Now, everyone keeps telling me that I’m fragile.
That I need a live-in bodyguard ’til death do us part.
Whenever that might be…
Who is Rex Wilder, anyway?
An old friend of the family — but why?
Hardly the kind of guy Pops would have approved of!
Tattoos everywhere. A temperament darker than his ink.
Ripped. Rude. Rough as hell.
I’d hate his guts if his ice-blue eyes didn’t keep setting my heart alight.
I’ve been burned in the past, though.
My psycho ex is still out for my blood.
Nowhere is safe — not even our forest hideaway.
And I’m not even sure I’m safe with him as it is: my brute of a husband.
Is he the most dangerous of them all?
But in spite of the threat, in spite of the secrets, in spite of my better judgment…
I keep finding myself unable to run away from Mr. Wrong.
What is it about being married to this man-beast that makes me go wild?
If I give in to my animal instincts…
Will love make me fall prey to his darkest desires?

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired by the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado after a recent visit. I thought it would be fun to imagine a gruff alpha male in that setting, and to watch the sparks fly when a young woman from the city is forced to stay with him in his cabin in the wilderness for six months!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I love inked alpha males and strong independent women, and so I created two characters – Rex and Eloise – who on paper seem like they'd never end up together… until finally they can't resist…
I go over to the sink and fill a glass with water, then raise the glass to my lips. That’s when I hear a thud outside, and I turn to look out of the window.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Talk about smoking hot.
Rex is out there, chopping wood. He’s completely shirtless, and I can see every taut muscle in his back as he bends over the stump, bringing down the ax.
This guy is ripped. With a capital ‘R’. I don’t even need to see his abs to know that. His back is the most muscular I’ve ever seen. And it’s covered in the most incredible tattoos.
It’s hard to make out exactly what that tattoos are of from a distance. There’s a tiger, a dragon, possibly a Japanese koi carp… but the overall effect of them is stunning. They wind around his body like tendrils, exploring and caressing his godly crevices.
I've never really thought about the attraction of tattoos before now. But they cling to this Man-Beast’s body in all the right places, inviting my eyes to keep sliding over the surface of his flesh. Over and over again.
He put down the ax and stands straight, then runs his fingers through his hair. He tilts his head to the sky, then turns toward the cabin. I duck out the way a little, but it’s okay. He’s looking beyond the cabin, not at me. That means I can keep standing here, and take in a view of his torso from the front.
And what a view it is.
Chiseled, beautiful abs — a six pack, no less. And firm pecs too. It’s like every bit of him is designed to make me stare.
