What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My hubby is a cop and has the best stories! I just wanted to share these stories with a romance flourish!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
They are a combination of different real people and police officers.
“License, registration, and proof of insurance, please,” he requested.
He watched as she flicked her eyes to her rear-view mirror again before reaching for the glove box. Keeping a wary eye on the woman, he gave another quick glance to the right again. Who was she looking for?
She held her paperwork out to him, her slender arm a perfect shade of copper, her nails coated in chipped red nail polish. For someone as breathtaking as this woman, the smeared mascara, the panic, the chipped nails only heightened Tyrell’s caution for this stop. Something was not right, and his intuition told him it was more than drinking or drugs. This was much larger. Tyrell waited for the hammer to come down.
“Ma’am, wait here,” he told her, and returned to his black and white.
As he sat in the driver’s seat to run her license, he left the door open and kept one leg extended from the car in case he needed to jump out and chase her.
His eyes were on the computer when the late-model, sporty sedan careened down Newport, swerved toward where his car and hers were parked. Tyrell managed to pull his leg in as the sedan slammed past his open car door, peeling it from the vehicle, and side-swiped the Jeep with a heavy crunching sound.
