I’m promoting this novel for the obvious reasons, but, in addition, I’m hoping that readers will enjoy another novel in the Brier Hospital Series and fall for my characters Jacob and Lola.
I knew that it was risky having octogenarian protagonists and that the thirty-somethings might not be interested, but our population is aging and what’s wrong with highly intelligent, competent, world-wise, and humorous characters of any age.
When I pitched the screenplay for No Cure for Murder in LA last year, the thirty-somethings were true to their biases and weren’t interested.
I think they’re wrong, but who am I?
If I can determine enough interest in these characters, I’d love to go ahead with another novel using them and perhaps push harder for a TV series. Of course, I’ll need them to live longer or else I can resort to a prequel.
My Face book page has links to my novels. All have medical themes, to one degree or another, and take advantage of my experience as a physician.
About the Author:
I’m a retired physician and long distance cruiser. My wife, Dorlis, and our cat, Furina sailed from the San Francisco Bay in October of 1995 for a life at sea.
I’d planned to write while cruising, but the life was just too busy to allow for it.
After sailing the W. Coast of Mexico and Central America, we transited the Panama Canal and sailed into the Caribbean.
Years later, we sold the sailboat and purchased a Nordic Tug (a trawler) and cruised the Bahamas, the E. Coast, and into Canada. We did two “Circle” trips to Canada and back.
We are now on dry land in the Sierra foothills, Grass Valley.
