Cursed from birth, Daggis travels with a caravan of misfits and outcasts, fleeing a goddess hellbent on their destruction. He does what he can to protect his family, but when the caravan is raided by the goddess’s army, one man can only do so much.

I don’t try to keep anything to a single genre. I just write. Whatever it ends up being, so be it. But at the same time, I am also trying to make the stories in my universe fit into a broad scope of genres, such as my first book is a standard fantasy, this book is a paranormal, and the one I am currently writing is a western of sorts. The major difference is that, behind all the magic, paranormal, and gun slinging, there is a history set in sci-fi.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
“Shut up and write” and “only you can stop you.” Two of the biggest things that have gotten me through my writing. For the longest time I procrastinated, like many starting writers, until I realized that I didn’t want to wait 5-10 years for my books to finished and published, I wanted them yesterday. The only thing stopping me was me, and the cure was to just shut up and write.
Author Bio:
While writing is near the top of my list, I also enjoy reading, disc golfing, graphic art, 3d modelling, programming, dabbling in theoretical and astrophysics, playing video games, and watching my children grow. I am always growing as a writer, but I know what I enjoy and what I want to write about. Most of my time is devoted to writing my life’s work, Nihilian Effect.
I have a massive universe in my head that I am writing and expanding upon every day. For this book, I wanted to write something a bit more main stream. At the same time, I was hoping to keep all my stories part of the same history, that way any publicity gained would be targeted at my universe. I see this book as a fresh take, and a deconstruction and reconstruction, of the typical paranormal tale we see so often today.
