Mythical Surrender is a journey into a mystical fairy land. Scarlett, who is the lead character in the story has had a difficult time adjusting to various situations in her young life. She lost both of her parents and is now in the custody of her Father’s sister, who happens to hold an affluent position in English society. The only time that Scarlett feels any real freedom is when she is away at school, or when she becomes lost in her own mythical realm. While she has believed it to be a fantasy, she is about to become mesmerized and out of touch with what is real and what is not.
She has one close friend whom she has known since childhood. While Brian, her life long friend, is obviously in love with her, she does not reciprocate those same feelings. She values his friendship, yes. However, she tells him repeatedly that she has no romantic interest in him. This is hard for him to accept and he becomes a character that harbors animosity towards what he can’t have.
The story leaves you transfixed and wondering what is real and what isn’t. It is an intriguing love story that holds intense sexual encounters, moments of remembrance, and times of full fledged abandonment toward responsibility. The feeling is that passion can over come all. The story line is one that captivates the audience and keeps them guessing on what is going to happen next.
Patricia Fendley is a wonderful writer who puts her heart and soul into her work. She is full of fire, which is what it takes to make it as a self-published author today. She is currently working on two different series, one geared for the adult market, and another in Science Fiction. This latter one is very similar to Hunger Games meets Resident Evil.
This is a female author who has been writing in the fiction/erotic genre for quite some time. She is new to the Kindle, and self publishing format. Her heart is on fire with words, and she has the ability to transfix her readers, carrying them over into the world she wants them to go. Her characters are likable, and while reading her stories you will become fixated on the female heroine; possibly even, the male lead character. What makes her unique is her ideas. She can take traditional themes such as vampire erotica, and transform it into something new and inspiring. Her Science Fiction works bode the same.
