Author Bio:
I was raised in a small town in Ohio. I had two sisters and a brother. We were poor, but we were happy and devoted to our parents. I went to work after graduation and worked many different places. When I was 25 I married and traveled to Okinawa with my husband who was in the army. We raised two children, a boy and a girl. My husband traveled and was gone 5 days a week. My married life was lacking in so many ways not having a husband at home. After twenty years, we separated, and divorced. it was the worst thing that had every happened to me. Depression and suicide were in my thoughts every day. Then when I met a man in Florida who was loving and kind, I fell in love. He was not available, because of he was in the process of getting a divorce and had another girlfriend. So, after two years, my money was gone, my condo was taken and I was on the street for several years. Now I live near my daughter who helped me write my book. I get to be with my two grandchildren, who are the loves of my life. I was encouraged to write another book, am in the process of doing that right now.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My daughter inspired me. She illustrated my book and she found Amazon.com/Kindle so I could get the book published. I had written all my thoughts for years and years and just kept them in a box. One day I decided to put it all in a book and just kept plugging away. I had an old computer and didn’t have a printer so I was constantly going to the library. It took me a year, of trying to figure out how to write the book, how to compose it and do the corrections. Finally, I had it all together and sent it to Kindle/Amazon and it was published. It was the most exciting thing to know that all the work and slaving at the computer came to fruition and friends who read it liked it. I am working on the second book in the series, “A Man with a Sense of Adventure” coming out in May, 2013.
