What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I really wanted to make a romance novel with a strong female lead. Ever since I was a little girl, I was in love with the idea of love more than the actual thing. As I grew up, I realized that many female characters in many romance novels were written in a similar fashion as my idea of love when I was a child. But I had grown up to a point where I wanted a smart and messy female protagonist instead of a simple plot device with long hair. I love a great romance novel as well as strong female leads so I decided to combine both.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Tessa is a character that is extremely successful in her own way, but emotionally stunted at the same time. I wanted to make a steamy romance novel with a strong and complicated protagonist that readers will root for and love-to-hate at the same time.
The wind slowly caressed her body as she looked down to the crowded streets of Los Angeles. Tessa peeked below her open balcony window and felt the light breeze. She hated few things more than feeling sick and being pent up in her seedy apartment. Her cell phone suddenly came to life with a sharp ringing as the second thing she hated most tried to get into contact with her…Wyland.
