Nobody would have put Dunya and Radoslav together. She’s Tur. He’s Sevian. She’s stuck in a refugee camp. He’s working for the people who put her there. With three years of war and a fifteen-foot fence between them, finding happiness together seems impossible. But Radoslav can’t get the girl with the pink hair—or her missing cat—out of his mind.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I picked two characters that readers liked from earlier books and threw them together…just to see what would happen. Radoslav and Dunya's romance completes the trilogy of relationships that the Shards of Sevia series revolves around.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I really enjoyed writing both the main characters in this story. Radoslav's a bit anxious, a bit timid, a bit discouraged about himself and his life, but he's determined to do the right thing, no matter what. Dunya is somehow both innocent and manipulative, but overall I wanted to convey her optimistic, sunny personality even in the midst of terrible circumstances.
