Three strangers moving in very different directions find themselves pulled to a small town in the middle of Ohio. A force is reeling them in. Like a needle drawn North on a compass, powerless to stray from this impending convergence, they must take their stand in the battle between good and evil.
But what happens when the worst evil wears the face of good?
Life is in the Blood is the macabre tale
of what it is to long for freedom, love, and to be human.
Targeted Age Group:: Adults
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired by a weird piece of history. A blood cult in the Midwest in the 1800s used a scripture from Leviticus to justify drinking animal blood. This made me ask what if a vampire used his blood to create a throng of followers through the power in their blood.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My characters are inspired by a mixture of imagination and real life personalities, either personal or historical. Brannigan Rafferty literally came to me in a dream. Sheriff Flynn was inspired by Bass Reeves and the cowboys of the wild west. Silas Hemfant was inspired by a real preacher, or better, cult leader that existed in the 1800s. Miriam was inspired by a friend who displayed great faith and unbelievable grace in the face of overwhelming circumstances.
