How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Imagination and my observations.
A reputable suburb in Arlington was glowing beautifully under the bright sun. Inside a bungalow built on a large foundation, Sharon was swiping her index finger on the super AMOLED display of her latest device. The phone also shared a couple of graceful characters with the lady- slim and beautiful. Like the way she was glued to the screen, it must be playing obsessive contents.
Almost a year ago, she had received the 2017th edition of the trendy phone as a courteous gift from her husband. Well, people these days are highly obsessed with these modern gadgets and their super cool functions. Although not to blame anyone; the technological wonders have led human life into such interpretations.
Meanwhile, an addicting game was entertaining her interest quite beautifully. Rolling on the screen, a glossy metal ball was programmed to hit thick glass sheets standing on screwed blanks. The intention was to break them into pieces. Sharon was chasing her past record now. Relying on her expectations, another ten-fifteen swipes and the target would be met.
At one point, the ball attained its maximum speed. The accidental tempo was threatening its remaining lives too. Responding to the emergency, the lady attained higher consciousness and gave a sensible direction to the swift object.
While the wonderful chemistry occupied her, she felt disturbed by a loud noise. The vibration also transferred to her phone. As a consequence, the gadget slipped from her hand and fell on the hard granite floor.
Out of the building, the house security was operating in a sublime state. A convincing number of armed guards had ensured its safety round the clock. Therefore, subconsciously, her worry was confined within the house only.
She had picked the phone with a lightening quick reflex. The view of unsightly web of cracks destabilized her heart. In no time, the frustrating observation transformed her fright into a serious rage.
Her annoyance rose when she recalled the cause of calamity- the noise. But the game hadn’t released those waves. Now, in order to reach to the root of the problem, she examined the situation with a serious intent. Her speculation took her to the kitchen. Driven by the same mood, she explored the place to find the offender. Normally, her neighbor’s cat used to cause such turbulence. If the poor animal was the culprit again, then its life had come under a serious threat for sure.
But she didn’t find the doer. Her desperate eyes had only noticed the scattered pieces on the floor; her fury reached to the peak. Once her consciousness stilled, she found the real cause of the damage- a black-white patterned soccer ball with the iconic Adidas logo on its surface. But she couldn’t take her anger on it, as the sphere hadn’t come there on its will. Taking a deep breath, she took a glance out of the window, and there she found the real culprit. Dressed in a bright argentine suit, her thirteen-year-old son, Max was biting the tip of his tongue. Well, ignoring his culpability, he was a cute little boy, neither slim and nor too fat. His eyes and color of hair were both brown. The dense silky hair was long in most areas, except in front of his face, where it was nicely trimmed to clear his view.
His current posture was an indication of his confession. Nonetheless, Sharon’s fury didn’t drop, perhaps also because the damage wasn’t confined to the kitchen only. She was becoming more concerned about the phone now, even though she wasn’t deprived of good wealth. In this sense, her reaction should have been different.
