What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have devoted my life to working with children. I was a classroom teacher for many years and have worked as an occupational therapist in the school setting for the past 5 years. I am passionate about providing children a healthy, engaging, loving, and safe environment. Likewise, I am passionate about supporting the adults (ie. educators, school staff, parents, etc.) who work with and care for these children each day. This book provides information about an essential component and often overlooked aspect of human development in today's society- children simply do not get enough movement. Decades of experience along with my professional knowledge led me to write this much-needed book to assist educators and parents with the WHY and the HOW to get kids moving to better their lives and inadvertently, improve the lives of the adults working with them.
