About Ulysses Namon:
Born and raised in Washington State I have a BS in geology from Washington State University and I work as a soils engineer monitoring construction sites to ensure that all building are resting on solid ground. I have enjoyed reading science fiction all my life, so I decided to start writing books myself. kind of ironic since I hated writing while in school. I choose my pen name Ulysses Namon from the movie starring Kirk Douglas, Namon is "no man" spelled backwards.

I am a seat of the pants writer, I just start with an idea and start writing. I have so many ideas that I will work on more than one story at the same time.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I would say I listen since I am always trying to imagine what they would say or do in a situation.
What advice would you give other writers?
Try to write a little bit every day even if it's only 250 words. When I do that I have a finished manuscript in about 8 months!
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I wound up self-publishing since it can be so difficult to find an agent or a publisher.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
There are so many ways to enjoy a book compared to when I was a child. As long as people enjoy reading there will be publishing.
