What inspires you to write?
Since childhood, I used to write essays and won the first prize for it several times. My teachers believed I could turn into a great storyteller. I did my post-graduation in journalism and creative writing. But, professionally I began to write in 2018. Can't say what really inspires me to write I guess I just have a sudden urge to sit and write whenever the moment demands me to do so.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
R.K. Narayan and Chetan Bhagat I like the fact that they use simple language and have great storytelling skills.
Tell us about your writing process.
At times it is pretty random but I do believe in having a proper structure so that I am not confused in the middle of a plot. Rest, I let it flow.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Nah! Never did it!
What advice would you give other writers?
Write what you know. Do not be too harsh on yourself and let it all out. I am sure if you think beautifully you could also write beautifully. Not for everyone though, but do not try too hard.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
My publishers love me! They are the ones who decide to publish it not me. For my first book, I was contacted directly by the publisher as it is a book of translation from French to English. They are a horror book publisher and hence a lot of my work falls under it.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Books have always been there and will be! Forms and formats might change with the evolving world and the changing trends.
What genres do you write?: Horror, children books, nonfiction, rom-com, translation, comedy, poetry. I like experimenting and switching in between different genres. Variety is the spice of life.
What formats are your books in?: eBook, Print, Both eBook and Print
