What inspires you to write?
As l was growing up, l encountered series of problems that even tried to dim what was in me. I was a hidden talent, so scared to show myself out there. But one day l decided to be who God made me be. I decided to throw away all the negative words out of my life. This made me to write and inspire someone out there who is experiencing the same situation.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
Tell us about your writing process.
I am an outliner. I literally sit down and begin sketching on what l want to write about. Most of my writing comes from the environment that l will be at that time. I am a person who quickly identifies problems or missing parts. So after that type of exposure, l find myself writing and trying to match the puzzle pieces that will be missing.
What advice would you give other writers?
Always do what you love to do. During this process a lot of negativity might come on your way but the best way is to know where you came from and where you're going. People will always find something to say whether being good or bad. Write what you know and always be truthful. Ask yourself why you want to write about that topic you selected. Find someone who inspire you. Be prepared to listen to what others will be saying. Accept correction and embrace failures. And don't ever give up. Dont worry about the number of words or pages. Know that writing isn't about a bunch of pages but it is about the quality of the information you're giving to people.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Publishing your book is the most important process for all writers. It gives you all the rights for your book since someone might claim it to be theirs. It allows your book to even reach a lot of people out there who need the type of information you will be writing about.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
The publishers mostly need to improve their ways of publishing and àllow the book to reach out to many people. They don't need to just stop after publishing a certain book but they need to do this for a lifetime because the book might not havve reached the rightful person who critically need the information it carries. If this is catered for then book publishing will be of great help help for the authors and readers.
