What inspires you to write?
I could be inspired by many things in my life, like throughout various books, movies, songs around me. Inspiration come and go everyday, you never know where they will hover into your mind and sparks the idea.
Tell us about your writing process.
The first time I wrote Royal Arcanum book, I was never an outliner. But now, I always have a draft before writing further since the story’s world building is somewhat developing more and more, so it will not be tangled. By the way, I’m not creating the characters sketches until now, but I’m trying to. I most likely doing characters resemblance with the existing celebrities that I’d know of, so I wouldn’t forget their faces in my head.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
What I am mostly doing is sit tight and watch the show inside my head. I am more like a listener to all the characters.
What advice would you give other writers?
I don’t have any particular advice since I’m also still learning in my writing process, but most notably would be; just believe in your heart to reach your dream, and avoid procrastination! 🙂
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to self-publish after a bunch of rejection from many traditional publishers. No hurt feeling, that’s why I tried learning how to get to the other way around.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think in the nowadays world, most people choose to publish their book in self-publishing way (especially in eBook format), because modern era has a sophisticated technology already. Even some established authors decided to move from traditional publisher into self-publishing platform. But again, people’s selection and style are different.
