Author Bio:
I write historical romantic adventures set in the American West and Victorian London. I live on the west coast of Canada where I work as a book seller. My previous jobs have included animator, systems analyst and fundraising event coordinator. I am a Romance Writers of America® Golden Heart® winner and three-time finalist.
What inspires you to write?
History inspires me, as do movies and travel. My love of Western stories came from watching classic Western movies while growing up on a cattle farm. My passion for Victorian London wasn’t far behind and only increased when I worked in England for four years and explored the nooks and crannies of London on my weekends.
Tell us about your writing process.
I like to plot my stories before I dig in and write each scene in chronological order. But the plot can change once my characters start to come alive. I’m open to listening to my characters and letting them tell me what’s best for the story.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
In the fall of 2012, I was approached by two friends and fellow Golden Heart® finalists who asked me to write a Western historical romance anthology with them. The “Passion’s Prize” anthology featuring my novella, “Adella’s Enemy,” became my début release in the summer of 2013. It inspired me to then self-publish the other novels (two more Westerns and the first book in a Victorian London-set romantic suspense series) that I had previously written.
