I have been in the healing arts for over 30 years. My life has been a journey of twists and turns and I believe all things are possible.
Personally, I do my best to stay positive and see the lessons in everything.
After a tragic event in my life, living with depression I decided to get on a planet and move to paradise! It was on the island of Kauai that the culture and healing art of Lomilomi changed my life.
I have traveled to many sacred places on this beautiful planet, however, this calling was coming to me since childhood. I understood immediately upon my arrival. The messages I received all my life “go to hawaii” where to save my life.
I love to teach and inspire others! I travel nationally to offer classes in lomilomi, the hawaiian healing art which is a journey to self discovery.
In addition, I have opened my self to be creative through the expression of art and photography. I love spending time with my 4 grandchildren and laughter IS the best medicine.
What inspires you to write?
It is natural for me be scribe. I have been writing things down since childhood. I suppose it was a way for me to express my deepest inner thoughts and feelings.
In high school I was inspired to take journalism and creative writing by two of my instructors. Both classes were empowering!
When beauty surrounds me I get inspired. When life events show up it is an outlet.
Tell us about your writing process.
My most recent writing process for my self published book “Both Ends of the Rainbow” started about 15 years ago. I heard a loud message after stopping abruptly to view an amazing rainbow. You will call your book Both Ends of the Rainbow.
For years, I wondered how this would unfold until one day in 2011 I was flying on a plane. It was in this moment that I witnessed Both Ends of the Rainbow. The complete circle. The messages flowed rapidly as I wrote them down on a piece of paper.
I listen to my guidance. I trust the process. I get information in my dreams.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just write it down. It may takes hours or years. Don’t judge it. Allow it!
Don’t force it!
I went to writing workshops that told me to do an outline, create a manuscript etc.
I was getting frustrated . I understood the process but it was not flowing. Then I LET IT GO!
Once I allowed my self to receive the divine messages flowing through me, I wrote my book in months. It was so much easier.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
