About Elisa Hawa:
I'm a writer from Canada. Toronto is where I was born and raised. I am a mother and a wife. During my early school years, I participated in a variety of sports and activities. I was a five-pin pro bowler in high school. I took home metals and awards for my achievements. I love anime, romance, fantasy, and the paranormal.
I have recently released my first book, "My Fate, My Heart You See." It was based on a dream I had in my early twenties that stayed with me throughout the years.
What inspires you to write?
My imagination, inventiveness, and the dreams I have when I sleep, are my inspirations. They are what makes my stories come to life in my mind.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
Suzanne Collins, Lucy Maud Montgomery and Cassandra Clare
Tell us about your writing process.
I start my writing process by imagining my plot, then I outline the events of each chapter in bullet points so that I can concentrate on the chapter at hand as I write, and then I start writing.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I place myself in their shoes.
What advice would you give other writers?
Don't give up on your dreams and listen to your instincts.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I did research prior before I published.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I believe it will become increasingly challenging, and the publishing process may take longer due to the growing number of individuals seeking to publish their works.
What genres do you write?: Romance and Paranormal
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
