I lived in different countries, worked in different roles and traveled to the major industrialized countries, although I miss many countries in the world that I would like to visit.
I have started writing very late in my life. I always wanted to express myself in a way that would help others, that would influence others but I never took the first step. It was a mistake. I think the time is always right to share with the others.
What inspires you to write?
My main purpose is to share with the world what I know, what I experienced and what I feel. I want to give others a different view or alternatives for them to consider in their thinking process.
If I’m able to have only one person taking advantage of my writings to make a step further and contribute to build a better world, I would me more than satisfied.
Tell us about your writing process
I list subjects I would like to write about: professional, personal, environmental, cultural, etc. and I force myself to write daily.
I may jump from one subject to another, from day to day, as I’m inspired or thoughts come to my mind.
Over time, I have enough material to put together a structure, with an index and make something that can be called “book”.
I use to write on the keyboard, with a specific software to facilitate and organize my writings.
My main writing is non-fiction, although I’m writing some fiction to dramatize ideas or situations so they are better understood and remembered.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write everyday. Whatever it is. There is a power behind forcing yourself to accomplish some minimum daily writing .
I’m amazed about what I was able to put together after a period of daily writing habit.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I have started self-publishing my books. It gives me the freedom and control about what I want to do. Over time, I will think about using some publisher.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
With the internet, book publishing is going to explode in the next few years and it will accelerate the shared knowledge over the world.
