What inspires you to write?
Life. Everything that I experience either through sight, hearing, taste or dreams. Life is the greatest inspiration of all. Since childhood I’ve had a desire to know why. Why do people act as they do? Why do people feel little and powerless? What is the secret to the universe. I write about the answers to these questions that I find along my journey.
My motto is : I give people the tools to self empower for their own healing and success.
That’s it in a nutshell.
Tell us about your writing process.
I generally write in the middle of the night after spending hours not able to sleep because the book is writing itself in my heart and head. At some point, generally around 3:30 am I just boot up the pc and start letting it pour out onto my word processor. When it’s all done I reread, edit and get it ready for publishing.
Most often my books are the results of my coaching, teaching or radio shows where topics come up and I dream with the questions. When the answers show up, I write them down. It all goes hand in hand.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
What advice would you give other writers?
Just write. Whatever it is you want to experience do it. As you practice you will improve in many ways, The most important improvement will be trusting yourself.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
After teaching and coaching for many years I was looking for a way to reach more people without having to send emails or download files for students. I began podcasting which worked great for a while. One of my students actually suggested that I publish the class I was teaching. I listened to her.
