Brian Patrick is an entrepreneur enthusiast. When he’s not putting his own ideas into action, he’s reading about other entrepreneurs and their journeys. He loves using WordPress to create websites, building helpful sites for clients and his own ideas.
He also sells on the Amazon marketplace, and has written a book about his “Retail Flipping” approach.
When he’s not writing, reading, or creating – you can find him bopping around the Lower East Side of New York
What inspires you to write?
Helping others, plain and simple. By providing helpful content to others, your visibility increases and the readers are provided content that could change their lives.
Tell us about your writing process.
I create a rough outline and then get everything I can think of out on paper. From there, I revise and revise. This helps me refine my thoughts and delete any fluff. The most important part is the revising. If you can say the same thing with less words, than say less. We are seeing the days of information overload, nobody can stand fluff anymore.
What advice would you give other writers?
Self publish as soon as possible. It’s becoming increasingly easier to do so, and there will soon be too much of an influx of new writers to claim your spot. Start today, and thank yourself in a few years for doing so.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I self published using KDP and now am looking into the Nook Press.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It’s going to be one crazy ride. It’s certainly going to be self-publishing heavy, but there will be more and more safeguards and limitations on the quality of work. While it was once impossible to get published, it’s now too easy. There has to be a middle ground, to ensure information is properly handled, packaged, and delivered to readers.
