About Ashlee Lynn:
Hello readers, my name is Ashlee Lynn. I'm from Southern California, but spent some time in Germany. I am a mother of a rather ‘spicy’ 8-year-old girl, who keeps my days busy and heart full. When I'm not writing, I can be found; reading, cooking, watching movies or spending time with my family and fur babies. I am on the blog team for Rabid Readers Book Blog. I am a reader first and foremost, who loves to connect with other reading fans. I encourage you to interact with me about books you’ve read and recommend, thoughts and reactions about my book(s) or maybe just to swap pictures of our pets. I want to see the cuteness! Follow me on social media.
What inspires you to write?
I've always had an imagination, since middle school I have written short stories and poetry. I love being able to escape into different worlds after a stressful day. Providing a story for others to do the same, is amazing.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
One of my favorite Indie authors is Meg Anne. I just love everything she does.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am a "fly by the seat of my pants" author. It really just comes to me when it wants to. In my next book, I have actually written the last chapter, before the middle.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I don't talk to them but I try to channel them. I talk as I would imagine them doing, inside my head.
What advice would you give other writers?
Believe in your story and don't be afraid to take criticism and suggestions, sometimes they end up making it even better.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I published my first book with Kingston Publishing. I have friends that published with them before me, they said only good things; about the process and the girls there.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I do believe eBooks are going to overtake the book world, even more so than it already has. I'm still 'old school' and love hard copies.
What genres do you write?: Fantasy, working on a thriller as well
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
