What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Ignited is the second installment of my debut romance trilogy Consumed by Heat. The entire trilogy began as an idea floating around in my crazy mind for a while now. It was sparsely based on a dream that I had a few years ago.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters sort of created themselves to be honest. I knew the background I wanted each character to have, and their profiles literally wrote themselves after that.

“Fuck!” I ran my hand through my hair, hoping to rid my mind of all that was Kris.
“Is everything okay, baby?” I swung around to face the topless woman walking towards me and struggled to remember her name. I took a gulp of the fiery liquid I had ordered from the bar downstairs as she deposited her bra in the chair beside me. She wasn’t bad looking; however, she was no Kris.
“My state of mind isn’t a part of our agreement,” I said, before emptying my glass. “Take that off … please.” I added, gesturing to the tight black skirt and stockings my redheaded companion was wearing. “I want to see you.”
I set my glass onto the side table then made my way over to the window to close the curtains.
“The only two things that were made up these months were my name and job. Everything we went through, my feelings for you, are all real…” Kris’s voice was clear, but I knew it was only in my head. Get a fucking grip, Alex.
