What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
After spending more than 15 years living in the Washington, DC area, I found people played with power but not always to a good end. In my fantasy world of dominance and submission, I wanted to show that not everyone in our nation’s capital has misunderstood what constitutes real power.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Yvette came to me as a secondary character in another novel I wrote (Lovely). She deserved a HEA because — underneath all that strength — lies a tender heart who had yet to find its match.
His voice was gentle, but the grip on her hip was not. Yes, this was what she needed. Dominance was her drug of choice, not love. She must keep him focused on the task at hand, away from the dangerous emotions she had no courage to revel in anymore.
He pressed a kiss into her back. “You can’t stop me from loving you.”
She shook her head until her hair covered her face. Too dangerous. He wouldn’t ever stop. He was a dominant, someone who would take her to whatever level he desired. She had to stop this before it was too late, before she cared herself.
