It was always my dream to tell my life’s story, convey my emotions, explain the decisions that I have made. It is a very personal story. It is about how my family and my immigration experiences have shaped and changed me into the person I am today. I hope you will enjoy it.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was born in Russia and moved to Israel when I was 27. I lived in Israel for 15 years and then emigrated to United States in 2013. The large part of my life was in the country that does not exist anymore. I wanted to tell my kids about my life's experiences. I hoped that it will help them to understand me better.
I think I am deaf, I hear the sounds,
But there is no meaning, just noise.
I think I am mute, I open my mouth,
But people don't hear my voice.
I am trying to talk, but the gap is too huge,
Between what I think and say.
I am racking my brain, grasping for words,
But they are just slipping away.
My tongue is stiff, my throat is dry,
I struggle to pronounce these words.
Some people just laugh when they hear me try,
Making things even worse.
I am losing myself behind the words,
I don't feel that I am the same.
I want to connect these two different worlds,
To meet these two “me” in my brain.
