My book is more than just a memoir of my own experiences. I also offer many tips and resources for others, including advice on handling grief, depression and anxiety, an adoption Q&A and list of helpful organizations.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Get your thoughts and feelings down on paper. Don’t worry about trying to turn it into a story at first. Just write.

Deanna began writing as a young child and enjoys the opportunity to reach others and make a difference in their lives. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., where she graduated with departmental honors. In her spare time, Deanna enjoys dancing, walking and visiting parks. She is working on a children’s book and a fiction novel, both scheduled for release in 2014.

After suffering two miscarriages and many challenges on my journey to become a mother, I realized I had an opportunity to help others who may be going through similar situations.
