The happy life of Michal, a young Israeli nurse, is suddenly turned upside down when she is widowed in the War.
Through the stories that she weaves of three generations, the author describes, with great sensitivity, the adrenaline-filled life in Israel in that epoch. It is a story about people that searching for the path through which they can achieve peace with themselves and perhaps even with their environment.
About the Author
Ilana Rabau-Freidman, is a first generation Israeli and a gynecologist by profession. She served during the Six Day War as an operations clerk in the air force and worked as an intern in Sheba Hospital at Tel Hashomer during the Yom Kippur War.
As well as her experience as a mother and the military service of her three children and their close friends, she worked as a gynecologist in the IDF for many years. In life, as in her book, Ilana has followed the changing dynamics that have taken place over the years in Israel.
